The co-founder of Melting Pot JC is Melika Behrooz. She moved to Jersey City from Iran at 4 years old, and attended PS 6, Academy 1, and McNair High School. After graduating college she began working in Emergency Medicine Research at Mount Sinai Hospital, and hopes to some day be a community physician and public health activist in Jersey City. Melika currently lives in the Heights with her parents, Bahman & Elham.
